Grace Jamaican Jerk Festival 2017 -- LIVE Music & Great Caribbean Food!

The Annual Grace Jerk Festival in Roy Wilkins Park returns on Sunday, July 23, 2017 with gates opening at 11:30 AM for another year of excellent food, entertainment and great fun! The Festival holds the distinction of being “New York’s Biggest Caribbean Food Festival.”

Featured on the lineup are top artists Morgan Heritage, Barrington Levy, Konshens, Alison Hinds, Blakka Ellis, BRAATA Folk Singers with Ragashanti and the Platinum Kids!  

Not to be left out, a wide variety of Jerk Festival vendors will be on site, thirty in all, offering incredible food and non-alcoholic specialty drinks all totally pleasing to the palate!

THE JERK COOK-OFF PAVILION

Competing Chefs put their culinary skills to the test and win cash, bragging rights and the coveted Dutch Pot Trophy in the Jerk Cook-off. The Champion Chef will be selected by a panel of distinguished judges and announced on the main stage, This is a serious contest where anyone can win and be declared the festival’s Jerk Champion.Local Celebrities duke it out against each other in a livelyQuick Fire Contest, while being cheered on by their fans and a very excited audience.

KIDS ZONE (Children 10 years of age and under are admitted to the Festival free of charge!)

Bounce house, rides, slides, cotton candy, popcorn, ice-cream, hot dog, rock climbing, face painting and games – Lots of fun for the kids.

Once is Just Not Enough! Sizzla Returns to NY at B.B. King by Popular Demand!!

American visa issues for Reggae sensation Sizzla Kalonji that resulted in an eight year absence from the US market recently ended for the fire brand DJ who performed in the area for the Labor Day holiday weekend.  Needless to say, the demand for additional performances by the critically acclaimed artist continues and its just been announced that Sizzla is returning to the area on Friday, October 21, 2016 at B.B. King Blues Club & Grill, Manhattan; the venue continues to make excellent strides in presenting high-quality Reggae music events all year round that are suitable for all ages, and at affordable ticket prices.

Fans who may have missed Sizzla's recent NY performance and followers who just can't get enough of his music are strongly advised to purchase their tickets early. This upcoming appearance is expected to be a SOLD OUT event with people from all over the tri-state area scooping up tickets as fast as they are printed. Doors for Sizzla's performance at B.B. King NY open at 11 PM EST with a showtime of 11:59 PM. At this writing we just don't yet know who the early warm artists will be but no matter, Sizzla will be in the house and you can count on his characteristic high energy performance, outstanding repertoire of cutting edge music backed by fiery lyrics.

Advance tickets will be going for $39.50 and $45 on the day of the show; advanced reserved VIP seating will be made available at $75 per person at the spacious B.B. King as well as a limited number of first come first serve tables carrying a mere $10 food and/or drink minimum for early bird arrivals to the venue.
